All buses roll to the LRT. That was the plan to increase riders on the LRT.
Parking was discussed in the neighborhood meetings. We were shown pictures
of various parking lots such as underground and others that did not look
like lots. Parking was a concern of the area residents from the very
beginning. The impression was...there would be parking. That disappeared
without a trace due to money and nothing more was mentioned about it at the
meetings. The emphasis' became high density buildings where the only mode
of transportation, by choice, would be LRT. The bus turn around was planned
for up to @60 plus buses per hour in rush hour at 46th if my memory serves
me correctly. There was also talk of parking under the hi-line wires since
nothing else can be put there. I need to take two buses to get to the LRT,
taking about 15-20 minutes, if the buses come on time, to catch the LRT
for a 7 minute ride.

Atlanta has huge ribbons of road, up to 8-10 lanes. They also have a good
LRT. The lanes are filled with cars with one person, bumper to bumper, going
nowhere during the rush hour. The train glides by on time. Minneapolis needs
to get the LRT workable for the rider (and neighborhoods): putting a parking
ramp up along Hiawatha near a station would relieve some stress and solve
the problem. Minneapolis owes land along Hiawatha that could be used. Even
tho there are problems right now..the LRT is great and we need more routes
so we are not buried in cement by exhaust.
