I am starting to take note of happy faces at coffeehouses. Being on a
recent vacation on the coasts of North Carolina I tried and tried to
find a latte.  No where in sight.  We are truly blessed that as a city;
we have a plethora of choices of coffee and espresso drinks here. Until
you visit some states where there's not even coffee at the gas stations
is it such a joy to come back and not only be able to get up and think
about an Iced Vanilla Latte, but have choices of places to go. As I
visit a lot of them; smiles, and friendly faces really make it special.
I once again want to say how proud I am of our friends in the Jordan
neighborhood at The Bean Scene. Dean Rose and Linda Baker have done
such a lovely job not just at their product, but at the friendly smiling
(and mostly youth) that work at their shop. It might be out of your way
to go to Broadway and Penn, and even nasty road construction; but its
all worth it.
