An interesting question: Who paid for the development of the plans for this site? Did Bob Fine pay out of his own pocket? Or did some favored contractor or friend help pay for it? Or did Fine illegally use Park Board funds to pay for it?
Is there any evidence here that by "pushing" a Bryn Mawr meadows plan some neighbors might not like, that Bob Fine would do something illegal?
It's important to ask tough question of public officials. However, I think it would have wise to stop with the first question before inferring illegality. You can't libel a public figure, but all too often we turn our political disagreements into criminal ones. Such hasty insinuations weaken civic discourse — and can lead to a "cry wolf" situation when something illegal really does happen.
