Greeting's List,

Tuesday's is usually my late night getting home. It's really never a
problem, even with the thugs out. But this night, was truly one of fear. I
turned onto Co"crack" street, and the cars lined the street for days. Here
was this suburban looking couple with a beautiful car pulling up with arm
out the widow, stopping in the middle of the street. All I could think about
was a shooting or worst MPD coming and pulling me over for something I did
not do. I then was able to get by the car, and park. Not in front of my
home, naw...But buy one of the 5 drug houses on my street. Where there were
men coming out from the trees, and then people started to fight over who
should made that last dollar. My whole entire body shook as I was going up
my stairs, to the house that I own, in a neighborhood, that I love. I
trembled with fear. First time ever that that has happen.

I have a terrible feeling that somebody some time soon is going to get
killed out there, and it won't be the thugs, oh, heck no! It will be some
innocent hard working person, that like me brought their house in the
neighborhood, or maybe a child, my child. One of the neighbors has called
MPD crack unit and has video taped these folks and still nothing! Even taped
a neighbor and his insurance agent messing up his roof to get a new one.
What will it take, the shed of innocent blood. What is the hold up??? I
cannot understand. Go outside your own block and just imagine on one block,
in fact on one side of the block, there are five, count'em five dope houses.
Not to mention the "want-to-be's" that are there to make a fast buck. Why
isn't that big ole police truck sitting on our block, so the kids can play
in peace outdoors, if only for one day a week.

Why? Is it because of low voter turn out, is it because it's a forgotten
area? Why? Why should my six year old, and others like her on my block have
to play in doors, why do I have to take my child into another neighborhood
to play at their parks? I pay taxes, and I vote, why can't I get some
protection, why can't my daughter get some protection. Why does somebody
have to get killed before the help comes. The park board folks are not on
task, they are way to busy, tying to pass the buck to make themselves look
good, and the school board, oh well, they have a new $200.000 new toy to
play with. MPD, well, what can I say?? Government, well it's not election
time, and it not in their neighborhood. The so-called leaders, well that's
easy, no cameras.

Look, we need help. We just need help, I beg the powers that be (and ya know
who u r) to help us, before that next batch of blood is innocent and belongs
to a child.
