The debate or argument should be on where in city hall the budget can get
cut, and we shouldn't be touting the fact that public safety doesn't get
cut. It's disgraceful that the city has to even think about cutting public
safety. The city is responsible for certain things, and one of the biggest
things is public safety. Any time the City Council/Mayor recommends tax
increases in order to pay for policy failures, the city itself will fail.
>From looking at this budget it looks as if we are increasing taxes to avoid
police layoffs and pay for bike paths.
Sad Sad Sad!!!!!!
How about recouping costs of moving theaters that still remain empty? How
about collecting rent payments from businesses that have not paid rent?
There are lots of other places to find money, or cut waste. Stop balancing
the budget on the backs of the taxpayers in order to pay for your failed
policies!!!!!!!
