Tell us about the "blue bus". You seemed very happy on your post a couple of
days ago. How many police came into the neighborhood? Are they patrolling on
foot, by squad or by blue bus!? Are you in the area where the helicopter
was patrolling? How many times have you heard the h'copter?
Do you feel the presence of the police each day or are they visible? Is the
visibility the blue bus?
A empty squad car use to sit on Lake and Bloomington around 4-6 every
evening. That area has really cleaned up...not due to the empty squad
however!! Now the cleanup needs to go farther down Bloomington to the north.
The problem with so-called clean up..they just move. When the Gateway was
cleaned up years ago, the people went to Nicollet and about 11-15th. That
got cleaned up and they moved to the east part of Franklin. Now Franklin and
Lake have a whole other element of concern which is slowly being taken care
of by people with strong convictions of making a neighborhood. So have some
of them moved to the North side...? Where will they move from there? That
problem needs to be addressed. Let us know what is happening that you feel
is positive action by the police and the bus of blue VL.
