This is another one of those procedures in contemporary society that is annoying, frustrating, and worthless. Just like airline gate searches, checking credit card signatures is totally ineffective. How can you expect an untrained Cub employee to be able to spot a forged signature in 3 seconds (or even 30 minutes)?
