1) Lydia Lee (24.15%) 2) Peggy Flanagan (22.66%) 3) Sharon Henry-Blythe (11.06%) 4) Dennis Schapiro (10.85%) 5) Sandra Miller (7.07%) 6) David Dayhoff (5.53%)
It would appear that the DFL endorsement still carries plenty of weight in River City. Lee and Flanagan both got more votes than Schapiro and Henry-Blythe did combined.
Dayhoff finished a surprisingly soft sixth.
Jibrell (who I think has a lot to bring to local politics) was just out of the money in seventh - about 1,000 votes behind Dayhoff.
It seems like Henry-Blythe and Schapiro will be left to slug it out for the third spot in November. Schapiro's 2001 campaign was able to go from fourth in the primary to third in November thanks to a stong campaign and StarTribune endorsement. Can he do it again?
Thoughts?
