Thanks to everybody who attended the PEACE Ball. We are certainly
considering it a success, with the funds raised, the attendance, and the
capacity to build on it with future activities.

We are estimating that between 650 and 700 people attended the event - we
had been hoping for 500, so this was a great showing. We haven't officially
tabulated all of the funds raised yet, but it looks like our gross proceeds
will be around $50,000.

We had people attend from all over the Twin Cities. 52 tables were
purchased for the event, doubling what we had expected. They were purchased
by a pretty even split of congregations, organizations, businesses and
individuals. As one of the event coordinators, it was great to see that
people were extremely tolerant of the challenges brought by the higher than
expected attendance. Since everybody came right on time for the event, and
wanted to spend time being greeted by the event co-hosts, the line to get in
was pretty long. Thanks to list-member Aaron Neumann's impromptu idea to
keep people waiting outside entertained with banjo music!

Most of all, it was extremely encouraging to see the broad participation
from across the divides of race, class, and distance.
