Thanks Tim for the additional information.
Kiffmeyer's office did initiate a request to speak at
a Log Cabin Republicans meeting in 2002. But I don't
recall her being at Pride.

Now if I recall correctly, it was Stonewall DFL not
the DFL that had the booth at Pride - of is it now the
DFL state party that sponsors the pride booths - if
that is the DFL state party doing that - it's a major
step forward with the DFL. Log Cabin Republicans of
Minnesota had a booth that was coordinated with the
Minneapolis Republican Committee - though not the
state party.

I hope Lavender Magazine follows up on this story....
If Kiffmeyer was at Pride, there are probably records
in her office that would support that. It would have
been nice if the Strib Reporter - Mark Brunswick -
would have verified Kiffmeyer's presence at Pride.

I'm not sure what point she was trying to make with
the Leather Jacket comment.....

And whether she was at Pride or not is beside the
point when you are talking about the separation of
church and state. Kiffmeyer clearly is tone deaf on
that issue.

So I'm not surprised the Star Tribune didn't ask her
about her presence at Gay Pride - that presence was
news to everyone - and I don't recall this getting
covered in the gay press.
