Glad rail is here and waiting for it to be extended, be it lrt or personal rapid transit as Steve mentioned. I believe PRT has more merit in city....PRT could work along Lake St., Hennepin and University very nicely. There are a lot of websites for PRT, but one that is animated easy reading is www.personalrapidtransit.com Ron responds: I drive this road twice each day, and am not liking it as much since the LRT opened. It does seem to be getting better, but slowly. I am also very thankful that I do not have to cross Hiawatha at some of the intersections so many are complaining about. What efforts are being done to fix the problem are way too slow in coming. I would like to suggest that the persons fixing it be a variety of affected persons that would have a stake in getting it done right. Right now I think it must be a bunch of college educated persons that don't even live near the mess, let alone drive it. Oh, I do find the LRT a nice experience when riding it. Once a week right now and soon to be twice a week. Now if I could just land a job downtown I could shove the car in the garage all week, and not deal with Hiawatha traffic at rush hour.
