Hey, c'mon, people! This is a chance for the list to show its power! Normally write-in candidacies have little chance, but if there is no candidate in district 3, all we need here is for someone (qualified, that is) on the list to come forward and ask for write in votes, and if even a few of the 1,000 on here (not counting folks like me who live in New Brighton) do a write-in, that person will win.
Pam and others can correct me, but I believe the rule is that to be eligible, you have to LIVE in the district, but that the actual voting is done county-wide. A rather strange thing, to be sure, and one that we might want to change, but I think that's the way it is right now. So----- what are the boundaries of district 3, and what civic-minded citizen is ready to come forward here?
