It is too weird being in the 9th ward - I want my old 6 back. But at 12:15pm I was # 290. In my old precinct that is unheard of.
But I saw Peggy Flanigan having Breakfast with her workers at Maria's, a little later I saw her on Cedar at the light at Little Earth with lots of supporters around her and they were yelling "vote" at traffic. -- That is the first time ever that I have seen Indian youth and elders out working for a candidate and they all had Native Americans for Kerry stickers - I was very proud of all my neighbors today. Even our "town" drunk was vouched for and voted.
My guess is in the Inner City we will have an even higher turnout than out state... what a treat...maybe as high as 80-85% is my guess.
I love Minnesota when it comes to Democracy and trying to do things fair (most of the time). I hope I can still say that after Ms. Kiffmeyer gives us her final totals tonight(or tomorrow).
