I've been a patron at several establishments in minneapolis where music is played, both live and prerecorded, after midnight on a nightly basis. There is music in MPLS after midnight. Music on the sidewalk may be another thing where the law is concerned. If I were in your shoes,I would go to the library and look up the city ordinance relevant to your activity, print a copy, keep it with you, and have a lawyer's phone # in your wallet.
