Heck, Eric it's not necessary to fire, you folks seem to shot your own reputations plenty good.
As Mr. Oines says "He was not there" and so he speaks from hearsay, with NO personal knowledge of the facts. "Speaking at a meeting" as he claims is VERY different than sitting on a stage reserved for the "Development Team".
Me:
I tried to stay out of this stirred pot. But, I was there and participated in the meeting. I recall Basim Sabri--who I did not know at the time--participating in the meeting but mostly from the floor. It was also clear to me that he was not part of any development team. Steve Wash and Barb McCormick were there to answer questions, and Jim Scheibel was also in the audience.
I vaguely recall Sabri on the stage, but not as any part of the presentation of the CVI project. That was left to McCormick and Wash. I recall that Sabri was not particularly welcome on the stage, likely for good reasons, as we are now here two years later hashing out its significance.
Keep in mind that this was a very ugly meeting, with accusations of all sorts flying from every corner. To parse some meaning out of it and assign support based on someone's presence at the meeting would be impossible.
Hope this clears things up. To the extent that it even matters now, Sabri was clearly not part of the development team, but obviously part of some undefined effort at a very contentious meeting.
