Hello Minneapolis Folks,

I have had the privilege of working with many different bodies of government,
and while they all have strengths and weaknesses, the Minneapolis Park Board
Commissioners seem to excel at being confrontational, and antagonistic towards
each other. It appears to me that the Park Board has been this way for many
years, previous to many of our current board members, so I am not trying to
blame our current board members. I would like to see our Park Board become a
healthy public institution where disagreement can be done respectfully.

I have several questions for our current board members or other city residents
that think they have the answers.

Why can't board members work more cooperatively together?

Why is the board appear to be so divided? (The board appears to be bitterly
divided more often then not. Other city boards at least appear to be able to
work together, even when board members have significant difference.)

What makes the Park Board different from other city boards or isn't it?

Ken Bradley (Kenny Neighborhood)
