Ed Felien has one fact wrong: the Mpls/5th District Green Party declined to endorse RT (or any other candidate) for mayor in 2001. Lisa McDonald, RT and Jeffrey Booty sought our endorsement. This is not to say that individual Greens did not support RT. I voted for him, both in the primary and the general.
I disagree with one other comment of Ed's: "the Greens will have to seek DFL Ward endorsement." Some Greens may choose to seek DFL endorsement, just as some DFLers have sought Green endorsement in the past. But Dean and Natalie proved that we don't "have to" do anything. I have faith that Green candidates will make these decisions based not on necessity but based on our (small 'd') democratic principles. Robin Garwood Seward REMINDERS: 1.
