I'm not sure if Lourdes Square townhouses has a board but contact them (I can possibly give you one contact offlist). The Pinacle and Falls is going condo, and I'm not sure if they have a board or not, but whoever is interested in current Island ambience, board or corporate, will want to know. Ditto the huge groups of townhouses west of 1st Ave. NE--you might have to do a door to door flyer on that for a meeting to organize and direct indignation. You have largish parks nearby. The Marshall-U High used to use Van Cleve park for its athletic field and that field is still there but only used for park sports. If they could schedule M-U in there way back when, they can work in De now. What about Boom Island since we lost the paddleboats? That seems large enough for the purpose and last time I looked, it was just a sandy flat area with a couple of weather shelters and is just about a block away with some parking already there.
