I graduated from Robbinsdale Senior High we only had one field with bleachers for Three high schools. Yes everything was coordinated not only Football, and Track But also Graduation. This was when graduating classes numbered 734 or more. We all survived. Yes the District has sold off the field, and it is now Cub foods and some other shops. The year I Graduated 1976 there was also still a house on our practice field. This is important because the person who lived there, had a life estate. As she owned all of the land. She died a few years later the District tore the house down and finally owned it all free and clear.
How much more Land are we going to put into TAX FREE status? When we keep hearing from our City Council that we need higher Density in order to make ends meet. I agree it should be left as open space or sold off to have taxes being paid, ands help out the MPRB budget. What happened to raising greens fees to help cover Park expenses. When did Athletics become more important than Accademics. Joan Thom Hawthorne REMINDERS: 1. Think a member has violated the rules?
