Pawlenty is just joining in the great game of pass the buck. The feds cut taxes and pass financial burdens on to the states.
The states cut local government support and our fine governor says look it's your local government that's raising your taxes. We need politicians who are willing to make the corporations and the rich pay a decent share of taxes once again for the privilege of operating in this country. It's entirely possible to have a small government AND make the rich pay for it. The property tax system is completely broken http://www.hallwatch.org/faxbank/landtax/index_html and should be replaced with a gradual shift to a land-value tax. Minneapolis should join other North American cities like Pittsburg and Edmonton in making this reform. Mike Jensvold Ward 10 REMINDERS: 1. Be civil!
