Out of so much heat, some light.

Michael Atherton's comments, though perhaps a little heated, do show us a
flaw in the NRP process.  It's imperfect.  But it's the best we have, so
far.  How could we make it more democratic?  more effective?  more
inclusive?

I don't think Mr. Atherton is suggesting we throw the baby out with the bath
water.
