To Jason, I am sorry. The electorate not the candidate set the agenda in my view.

Having met and heard Jason Stone's "agenda" I believe that he has spoken to many who will be part of the electorate and has included many of their suggestions and wants in his campaign. It would be hard for him to gain the support he has if no one agreed with him. In fact, Park District 5 will have an opportunity to compare and contrast between more than one candidate and that should make for an interesting political season. I hope that the citizens who participate in the upcoming Minneapolis DFL caususes in Park District 5 appreciate the fact that they will have a choice. If Marie Hauser doesn't fall back to running for Park Board ( in District 3 if she doesn't get the Ward 8 DFL endorsement for City Council ), park district 5 will be the only district WITHOUT an elected incumbent running (Carol Kummer was appointed to fill out the late Ed Solomon's term). I only wish we would have some excitement to look forward to here in Ward 1.
