Sounds like you are throwing in the towel on your bid for the 3rd ward seat
by your wording below.  Is this the case?

No, but if someone wants to start the bidding for a council seat at $20,000 I'm sure as hell not going to outbid them. Neither am I continuing to support RT after he had the tazpayers pay for a $40,000+ puff piece despite more than adaquate funds in his campaign coffers. Suffice to say that the municipal political silly season is well underway; when it's all over after the first tuesday in November after blowing an aggregate million dollars or so the DFL will still occupy the mayor's and most all if not all of the Council seats.


Personally I'd prefer the DFL save it's $$$$ to throw against the Republicans in 2006 and risk losing a few seats to the Greens who would pretty much vote with the DFL anyway. I'd also rather see Peter McLaughlin evict the current Scrouge from the Governor's mansion in 2006 rather than lower himself to running for Mayor.
