The phantom 800 empty classrooms make yet another appearance. This time
there is even a picture of an empty classroom to falsely lend credence to
the inaccuracy.

The otherwise generally good article about the hard work of the Wenonah
and Keewaydin parents that paid off contains the often repeated but
factually inaccurate statement that "district administrators are looking at
800 empty classrooms this year." Kevin Halbach has said that number is not
accurate for this year. I wish reporters would quit repeating stuff that
was never substantiated and has been since declared inaccurate by the
district's consultants. Real numbers and solidly substantiated projections
will serve everyone much better.
