I was personally impressed that Dean Zimmerman took the time to visit Margaret Hastings and friends when she was holding a campout downtown for the issue of homelessness. I appreciate local officials who will use the visibility of their position to help cast a spotlight on significant issues that are often so easily swept under the rug.
