Speeding through an intersection on a yellow, but hitting the red..... or
running through an intersection on a red, when the oppsoing traffic has a
green light, is not an "accident." It is not an "unwanted event." In fact,
it's a "wanted event." It is an intentional, willful, and volitional act
that many Minneapolis drivers engage in. It certainly is not an "accident."
Geeez.

Red light cameras will put drivers on notice that running red lights is not
an option, and is an expensive proposition.

I guess, in reading Mr. McGerik's post in it's entireity, it is up to me to
do everything in my power to proceed ever-so-cautiously through the
intersection on a green light, rather than have the expectation that anyone
should actually STOP on the red light. My bad. How silly of me.

Logic like that should have a red-light camera on it.And the burglary
analogy is not apt, either.
