Hi folks,
I'm not sure if the point has been made before or not as I'm new to this thread, but it can be perfectly legitimate to see a car (either crossing or turning) in the intersection after your light has turned green. If a car has crossed the stop bar (solid white line generally before the crosswalk)or is already into the crosswalk on their green or orange, they have right of way over your green light, even if their light has turned red before they leave the intersection. Primarily because they had the right of way first. Its amazing the number of people who think someone is blowing a red light when they aren't. Surveys have been done, and while I can't quote numbers right now, there are a large number of people who believe incorrectly that you are running a red light if you are not out of the intersection when the light turns red.
I'd also note that I favor camera's being used to ticket, but I am not in favor of the owner of the car getting the ticket. Makes it a tough sell.
