This was asked and answered a few months ago but I would not expect consumers to see any speed difference. Wireless is not faster than ethernet necessarily and depending on protocols and network setup, probably slower. what you get with wireless networking is the ability to be mobile and still retain good performance. Minneapolis could have provided us all with internet connections by wiring homes with ethernet cables. That can't be cost effective but the infrastructure for a wireless net is. you still need computers with wireless network cards, which no desktop PC comes with, i don't think. As for Mpls wireless, if the backbone supplying the internet feed to the network is bigger than say time warners cable internet or qwest DSL, then there will be some speed increase but most likely not discernable.
