I plan to join this ride tomorrow, but I have a couple of minor annoyances with the website. First they list information regarding proposed rail transit corridors, but they have no information on the Dan Patch corridor. Granted, state law prevents any state agency from mentioning that corridor. (Afterall, no rich person in Edina who buys a house near train track should EVER have to see or hear a train). I don't care if TMO is prevented from menitioning the corridor by state law. I personally refuse to pretend the corridor doesn't exit. (If TMO is not specifically prohibited, then the information should be there).

More importantly, but still a minor annoyance. If you're a Minneapolis organization get yoru neighborhoods right. According to the website people from Southeast Minneapolis are supposed to meet at Minnehaha Park. I live in SE Minneapolis. (which, of course, is North and east of downtown). It would be silly for me to bicycle 5 miles to Minnehaha Park just to join a bikeride to downtown. Instead I'll join the NE Minneapolis ride. (NE Minneapolis is, of course, North of downtown).

Still, despite my posting worthy of any good curmudgeon, I look forward to a pleasant bike ride downtown tomorrow. I doubt I'll make it to the Quarry by 7 AM, but I do plan to meet up with the NE contingent at Hennepin and Stinson soon after they get underway.

My apologies for the lateness of this announcement. I just learned of this event this
morning. It has received little publicity. Please share this information with other
e-lists to which you belong.
