I read that article in the Strib this morning, too.

Unfortunately, it's not totally correct.

As chair of the Minneapolis DFL Nominations Committee (in charge of 
nominating candidates for Minneapolis DFL Party Officer positions) I can 
tell you that there are already two candidates for Minneapolis DFL Chair, 
and that anyone can be nominated from the floor.
