I thought the big LGA cuts happened in the 2003
session, affecting the 2004 city budget, not the 2001
or 2002 budgets. Please someone with more information
correct me if I'm wrong.

On the rhetoric front:
As recently as yesterday I was undecided. What has
helped push me to support Peter McLaughlin are R.T.'s
silly attacks and focus on self-victimization. I
would hope an incumbent mayor would be spending more
of his time talking about his accomplishments. R.T.
seems to be spending more effort unnecessarily
accusing his opponent of dirty and unfair tactics, and
not talking about his own record.

In my view, Peter has done a better job talking about
what he's already accomplished for the city (and he's
not even the sitting mayor) and what his vision for
the future is. I'm still unclear on what R.T. is
planning to do in a 2nd term.

If you can't stand on the strength of your own record
as an incumbent, that may be a sign that the time has
come for a new leader who can deliver.

And finally, no Democrat (or Green or independent or
moderate Republican) deserves to be called an ally of
Karl Rove. (Well, maybe Randy Kelly...)

Finally decided in the mayor's race in Longfellow
Now I have to figure out the rest of the ballot before tomorrow!
