Thanks for your response, Karen. I mistyped the section you quoted. I meant to say "Does it make sense that 25 people in a dense area could trigger a reviewing of the need for an EAW or EIS. My question really tries to get at whether or not it should be a straight number, such as 25, or more related to the population density.or should it not matter since it only adds minimal delays to the development process. I like people playing fair, and if people use tools like environmental review petitions as ways to delay projects by a week or two.or just to show their disagreement with something, it strikes me as disrespectful to the process and those involved. (I am not saying that the people who signed the petition the message was based on, were not genuinely concerned for the environment.I just have a certain level of doubt given the circumstances).
