I find it absolutely absurd that anyone would think that mutual apologies,
or clarifications were required on this issue. I find the language of many
"leaders" in my neighborhood to be extremely offensive. I have yet to
publicly call them derogatory names and make veiled threats against them.
Yet, if I did, I don't believe anyone would request an apology from them as
well as me.
Booker's wife works as an aide for NJL. I am extremely dissappointed that
he has chosen the manner he has to show his support for NJL in the upcoming
election. It is under-handed and mean-spirited. And very transparent to
those that are well-enough informed to know what is actually going on.
To those that chose to continue in this manner my only caution is to be
carefull of the bridges you burn. You may need to cross them at some point
in the future.
You probably won't hear from Don on this list regarding this issue for the
very same reason that most "list members" have been non-existent on
chiming-in on the matter. And we all know what that is. Regardless of what
he might say, it would only be more "fodder" for those that are opposed to
him because he is not radical enough in his rhetoric or his methods.
Don could go outside on an absolutely crystal-clear morning that had nary a
cloud in the sky and ZERO percent chance of rain and claim that it looked
like it would be a great day weather-wise. SOMEONE with the group of
self-appointed "leaders" would find a way to twist his words and use them
against him.
Two weeks ago, he was taken-to-task for privately supporting Rev. Terril
regarding the letter he had written on the matter of gang-members. If
anyone took the time to read the editorial you'd note that CM Samuels felt
it imperative to get "all of the decision-makers" and the black media
on-board. The inference was made by Mr. Hodges in his Spokesman Recorder
editorial at that time that Samuels and Terrill were doing so for the
purpose of gaining federal funding from the Patriot Act. ANYONE that knows
Don Samuels knows that he in NO WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM supports the policies of
our current federal government. Including the editor which wrote the
editorial-Booker Hodges..
One should ask whether or not Booker even bothered to pick-up the phone and
attempt to call CM Samuels before writing this editorial? Or, maybe Booker
feels it is Don's responsibility to check with everyone that claims to be a
"leader" before he generates a private correspondence?
