MN: The book was kept where it was so it wouldn't get stolen or vandalized.
Happens all the time with many books in the collection. It's done to insure
that the information remains available to all for many years to come. No one
is restricted from looking at it. All you have to do is ask. Some people may
not have been comfortable uttering the name of the book, but they could
write it on a call slip.
C'mon Wizard, it's being done for the children :)

As for the ads, I find it a bit ironic that the people who scream loudest
about free speech and peoples "rights" are sometimes the most intolerant of
the idea of other OTHER people having rights or free speech.
