Pamela Taylor says: Why would the candidates, or their representatives, need to weigh in on this matter? This "matter" does not involve Natalie Johnson-Lee. It was always between Booker Hodges and Don Samuels. Simply because Mr. Hodges wife works for NJL, thier names got dragged into this online bickering. NJL has absolutely no reason to post simply because inquiring minds may want her to. And, though she may have started out working for NJL, Mr. Hodges wife was hired by the city at a later point, which was still way before this disagreement happened between the two gentlemen.
So you forum members concerned with real 5th Ward issues, I suggest that you not wait around for them to appear alongside this particular discussion, but instead call the candidates directly to get your issue oriented questions answered. Base your decisions on how well they are each handling the concerns of the ward, or plan to, and not the personal concerns of these men. Michelle Hill responds: Thank you much Pamela Taylor. I asked how CP Johnson-Lee and Hodges wife got into this discussion about 10 emails ago. Thank you for addressing that point once again. I do not personally know Don Samuels nor Natalie Johnson-Lee, but clearly CP Samuels supporters dominate this forum, or are at least more vocal on it. I read and comment when I feel the need, but nothing anyone has said will make me judge CP Samuels or CP Johnson-Lee. I kinda feel sorry for CP Johnson-Lee, because she had no part in the disagreement between Samuels and Hodges and some have used it to attack her, only because one of the parties involved happen to be married to her aide. But I get the feeling that she is as tough as nail, or she wouldn't be pissing so many people off for just being silent. You have to respect CP Johnson-Lee because she will not rise to the bait. While Samuels supporters keep throwing his name out there, he is not joining in and I have to respect him for that too. Michelle Hill Cleveland REMINDERS: 1. Be civil!
