Anyone know of a place to buy fishing bait (crawlers, leaches, minnows) within Minneapolis? Close to Minneapolis? There was a bait store on Lake Street -- it has closed. At one time there was bait shop just outside of Mpls. on 66th Street in Richfield. But now I don't know where there is one. Ideas? Marj Rolland Windom Neighborhood Marjorie, The Bryn Mar Mobil gas station has crawlers, leeches and minnows. K-mart on lake & Nicollet has crawlers at the sporting goods counter at the back of the store. Be sure to open the container and make sure there is bait in it. People open the containers to steal bait from one and put it in another all the time. They get shipments regularly though, so it's always fresh. Gander Mountain at 98th & Lyndale has crawlers, leeches and minnows. Vados has a full selection of live bait. They're at 7895 Central. Bass Pro Shops Outlet is at Central & Osborn Rd. and also has live bait. Crawlers are easily had in your back yard. If you don't know how to harvest them, let me know and I'll show you how.
