I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding was the Star Tribune article yesterday suggesting Dr. Peeble's job was in jeopardy caught pretty much everyone by surprise.
If so, I'd say that whatever turnout was achieved at the Urban League meeting that same morning that the story broke is pretty commendable. After all, it's not like this was an event that had weeks or even days of lead time to organize and invite folks to. And I'm not sure it would have been much different had it been Dr. Johnson. Instead, I think it's pretty misleading to suggest otherwise...
