Strib's Dan Mitchell writes:

Council member Gary Schiff indicated during the commission meeting that a
10-story tower might be acceptable.

[Developer Stuart] Ackerberg said he will probably come back with just such
a proposal. To make it work, he said, he might have to drastically reduce
the amount of office space from the 100,000 square feet that were planned.
The Ackerberg Group, which is developing the project in partnership with
Financial Freedom Realty, was in talks with Bloomington ad agency Colle +
McVoy to lease that firm between half and three-quarters of the office
space.

"We probably will lose them now," Ackerberg said. "They were on a very
strict timetable, and we were already three months behind."

[PS Question for opponents: how do you feel about 10 floors versus 13? Is
that a magic number?]
