There's an old saying - "Be carefull of what you ask for it may come true". If I am not mistaken, the original urging for CM Samuels to run in the 3rd ward came from CM Johnson-Lee. If he was a good enough choice for her to urge him to run then, what has changed? The potential ward conflict existed at the time when CM Johnson-Lee approached CM Samuels.

Also, I recently have read where CM Johnson-Lee does not approve of the PEACE Foundation and views it as a "cash-drain" on other PNP's on the northside. I guess I'd like to know whether any existing PNP actually received LESS funding from existing donors, or, if it as I suspect, that CM Samuels founded a new PNP that brought-in additional funding to help address the issues on the northside. If it is nw NOT a good thing, then why was CM Johnson-Lee a backer and financial contributor when it was founded? What has changed?

I find it perfectly normal that CM Samuels would choose to run for re-elction in the ward that has probably the highest concentration of minority constituents. That is where his heart and his moral convictions are rooted.
