Joan said 'He Said contact my Mark Stenglein as that's Hennepin Counties
call not his."

Why not contact Peter McLaughlin. He says his main concern is our safety,
so he should back this idea. Which makes me wonder why he hasn't come up
with the idea in the first place. If you look at what the county spent in
Robbinsdale rennovating Broadway/81 and then look at what they did, or
didn't do once they got to north Mpls, I think one can see their attitude
towards us very clearly. In Robbinsdale you will have a pleasant shopping
area with plenty of landscaping. In Mpls, it's a thourghfare that gets
traffic downtown as quickly as possible. They even took away much of the on
street parking making it even harder for the existing business to continue
in business. My faith in any county commissioners trying to help the poorer
neighborhoods of Mpls is long gone.

Good luck, Joan.
