Why not contact Peter McLaughlin. He says his main concern is our safety, so he should back this idea. Which makes me wonder why he hasn't come up with the idea in the first place. If you look at what the county spent in Robbinsdale rennovating Broadway/81 and then look at what they did, or didn't do once they got to north Mpls, I think one can see their attitude towards us very clearly. In Robbinsdale you will have a pleasant shopping area with plenty of landscaping. In Mpls, it's a thourghfare that gets traffic downtown as quickly as possible. They even took away much of the on street parking making it even harder for the existing business to continue in business.
