I am a proud alum of Edison High '65 (Go Tommy's) as is my brother, father and three of my aunts, Lutheran, never worked for DeLaSalle or any other Catholic organization, who resides in the poorest neighborhood in town. Oh, and female (since D' was not co-ed in '65) and childless. Don't think you can get more independent than that.
I am also not a fan of the Park Board. We are still waiting for Jordan Park improvements to be done even though we gave the Park Boad $100,000 to do them. They did cut down the birms last fall, but only because they needed the dirt for the Lake of the Isles Project. The fact that the Board hasn't handled this as well as they should, as usual, does not make the project meritless and should be judged on what is good for the greatest number of Mpls residents. Our river is an integral part of our city's history and experience and should be available to all to share. Anne McCandless Jordan REMINDERS: 1. Be civil!
