MEGAN WROTE:

RT deserves four more years to keep this momentum rolling. Let's talk about
that.

Michelle Responds:

That is so funny. That is the same thing they said in the bush campaign. He
needed four more years.

The best thing that has come out of this 4 years of Rybak, in my opinion, is
the police chief. I agree with Megan when she says this chief is well
respected and wants to see change. If that is the case I wonder why he has
suddenly
disappeared from the radar. I think I know the reason, but I will keep that one
to myself.

Mayor Rybak started out with momentum, but somewhere along the line he ran
out of steam. As to the prostitutes on Lowry, I'm sure Rybak isn't really
courting their vote.

I think the public wants a mayor who will work with all communities; who
praise cops that should be praised and discipline those who should, especially
when the tax payers have to pay for the consequences of that one or two bad
cops;
who allows his chief to run the police department instead of the city
council; who listens to his constituents and not just the upper class. A mayor
who
does not support removing police from one precinct/community to put them into
another.

The STOP program, that was not even complete or fully discussed, was
launched and has had no affect on crime. But other communities lost good cops.

Now perhaps some of you see that Mayor Rybak does one, two, three or all of
these things, but everyone has different views on what is most important to
them. I agree that he has done some things, in the past, that I like but
somewhere he lost sight of the ball. He has a few months to change my mind, but
for
now I will simply watch, wait and thank him for Chief McManus.
