Dean Here: This is the most important issue facing the library system and 13 potential libary candidates didn't seem to have any answer?!? I'm sorry but a more city-friendly governor is NOT going to magically fix the library funding crisis. Residents and Library Board members alike need to face the fact that we have a library system that was built and operated under a funding system that no longer exists and is unlikely to return. Having a library system that "empowers" its users is great and all but without a funding source, those sentiments are nothing more than a whole lot of hot air. Dean E.
