Could someone tell us which, if any of those promises have
been kept?
Stadium...RT started to support the stadium right after he was elected..but
was told by his housing supporters no way. He has said Stadium.. only after
everything else is taken care of. He did not push it through in secrecy
behind closed doors without the public knowledge. Let the Stadium issue come
to a vote...this is an issue for the people instead of politicians believing
we the people are too stupid to be represented by our vote and they are the
only ones with foresight.
campaign fund raising.. What about it....? RT depends on the small donations
as much as any other candidate. Should we talk about labor donations?
NRP...NRP has become more administrative than do good in the neighborhood. I
am for NRP but what we have right now is nothing to brag about. It has long
lost the original idea and has become a political bog-down without
neighborhood representation.
public safety...We lost the Clinton cops, how many cops do we need? Are more
cops going to do the job? The problem is not having 4 cops on every corner
it is more about what is happening to the young people and how do we turn
this mess around. We need jobs for these kids along with education. RT has
been
involved with programs starting kids with early education. We have a decent
Chief of Police and give him credit for that. Public safety problem just did
not start in the past four years either.
community empowerment..do you not get to say what you want when you
want...has Franklin not benefited greatly through community empowerment?
one stop shopping, What is it? what are you trying to say?
less bureaucracy at MCDA and CPED, Good point...too much money. too much
bureaucracy...agree.
open door to City Hall ....you can go down there every Weds....you can
attend every council meeting, you can go to every Park Board
meeting...where are the doors closed?
better
relations with the State Legislature.... don't blame RT for the previous
mayor and city council's mistakes. They are the ones who spent like there
was no
tomorrow...they are the ones who weaken our bond rating and they are the
ones who dug us into the hole that no one wanted to help us out of. RT
inherited the mess we are in and I don't see where he has failed as far as
relations with the State. He has worked very hard on many issues over
there...winning most. At least we have a mayor out in the open and we did
get some LGA reinstated.
The pounds on RT sound like they have been written down and passed
around....I would also like to know why you keep referring to his
looks...This is getting
to be relic with sounds that are discriminatory . What difference does it
make what the man looks like as to what color they are, how short they are,
fat etc.... Referring to his looks is very elementary.
I would also like to bring up....when those of us respond with a postive
post for RT...we get attack off list by Peter's supporters. How many of
Peter's supporters
have experienced personal attacks off list? These attacks are going to
surface shortly....if this is the way this campaign is going to be run then
I feel sorry for our system of democracy. Shoot away!
