The Nokomis Community Center playground equipment needs to be replaced. It is a
safety hazard and nothing but rust.
Parents do not take their children to play there anymore....they get into their
car and drive over to Diamond Lake
or to a school. Such a shame being the major play area along Lake Nokomis.

Speaking to Carol Kummer, our MPBcommish, she said there has been many
complaints about the equipment
and when she inquired about it...it was scheduled for 2009.

2009 is too far off...playground equipment should be a priority. For every
project...Oh, it's for the children, the children
will have access...this is one project that IS for the children. I do believe
that this is what the Park's mission is about.
Safe and healthy environment for it's citzenry which should include decent
playground equipment for little tykes.
