While my reference to swimming from the Island, or to it, was indeed 
facetious, my post was not a joke.  North Mpls is still on one side of the 
river across from the Island any way you redistrict it.  I was not aware 
that the Island existed to serve one census tract, especially when everyone 
keeps refering to it as a regional park.  The point is, the location of a 
sports facility would be accessible to Northsiders as well and should 
therefore be included when assessing the need.
