Subject: Calhoun Main Beach Closed Tuesday
Date: Tue, 2 Aug 2005 12:45:49 -0500
The Calhoun Main Beach (North) is temporarily closed today due to high
bacteria levels. The E. coli results from yesterday are over the EPA's
guideline of 235.
The Main Beach, on the north shore of Lake Calhoun, has been resampled and
we will have those results Wednesday.
Calhoun 32nd Street, Calhoun Thomas and all the other beaches are open.
They had low bacteria levels and are under the EPA guideline. The beach on
Lake Hiawatha is closed for all of 2005.
