As part of the "lying" (by omission or otherwise) group of Minneapolitans dedicated to cronyism, special interests and a blurring of the line separating Church and state...I encourage our Park Commissioners to continue the process with De La Salle and work towards the goal of building the stadium and sports facilities on Nicollet Island.
I think the Star Tribune split the issue pretty well. I can see some arguments from those opposed to the plan, I just believe the positives outweigh any concerns or alternative goals. For the most part, I have been frustrated by the attacks made against and by both sides of the argument...particularly against, but I just wanted to show there was SOME list support for the DLS playing field...in addition to the 1000+ petitioners and great many other supporters I have discussed this issue with across the city. Also, sidenote: Council Member Colvin Roy, please support (in any way that the City Council is now or will be involved) Hennepin County's efforts to build the Twins stadium and the DLS playing facilities/stadium.
