Philip, The Minnesota Multi-Housing Association has a good website for landlord-tenant lease agreements at www.mmha.com. You can get the booklet published by the Minnesota attorney general's office on the rights of landlords and tenants by going to www.ag.state.mn.us and clicking on publications. You can print it out or order a booklet through the website.
Ken Bradley Kenny Neighborhood [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I'm curious if there is anyone out there that can help me out with a question I have. My landlord really neglects our building. never responds to maintenance requests and there are some pretty severe problems (like electrical problems). My roommate and I have decided to vacate the apartment. However, two sets of former tenants have not ever received their security deposits back and have sued the landlords. Does anyone know if there is something that I can do before moving out to ensure that I receive my security deposit back... Are there any city ordinances that govern this type of thing? Also, do apartments ever get inspected by the city? The building is literally falling apart at this point. Thanks! Matthew Philip The Wedge REMINDERS: 1. Be civil!
