Some Ward 6 residents wrote me to ask why the Southwest Journal
didn't do a Ward 6 pre-primary story.
It isn't because we don't love Whittier and Stevens Square/Loring
Heights!
We made the call that since the third Ward 6 candidate has done no
campaigning and we can't find any contact info, we would pass on
primary coverage. (It wasn't my first choice, but we only have so
much staff time.)
We should have also treated Park District 4 the same way (two serious
candidates, one impossible-to-find candidate who forced a primary),
but we'd already done the reporting on the race so we ran a pre-
primary story anyway.
Expect a big blow-out on the Zimmermann-Lilligren race, and possibly
more, before Nov. 8.
